About - The 455-477 comms converter connects the PC comport (RS232) to the Net2 dataline (RS485). The converter is supplied in a black plastic enclosure complete with a 1A 12V dc power supply.
The 455-482 USB comms converter is supplied in a black plastic enclosure. It does not require a power supply.
Installation - The plastic enclosure is suitable for wall mounting.
455-477 A power lead is supplied for connection to a mains spur along with a serial data lead. Once connected to the RS485 data line, plug the unit into the server PC serial port and power up. The control units will automatically be detected.
455-482 A USB lead is provided. Once connected to the RS485 data line, plug into a USB port on the server PC and the control units will automatically be detected. Please check with Paxton Access support for compatible versions of Net2 software.
