The ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) reader has been developed for Net2. Using a built-in infrared camera, this reader is able to read the number plate of approaching cars before they come to a complete halt. It passes the information to the Net2 system to determine whether to permit or deny access. The number plate reader is perfect for controlling the access of vehicles through a gate or barrier.
The mounting bracket is not included. For information about mounting brackets please see the installation instructions.
Installation - Simply mount the camera in a suitable location. It is supplied with a built in IP address. Use a crossover cable to connect the camera to a laptop in order to configure and focus it. A reader cable is run from the camera to the Net2 reader port.
A mounting bracket is not supplied. A choice of mounting brackets are available from distribution.
Operation - Enter the user\'s registration number into their user record on Net2. The user\'s number plate is read by the camera. The Net2 software checks the access permissions of that user. Access is granted or denied as appropriate. The event is logged in the Net2 software as it would be with any token.
